suffer for your hubris
throw yourself in demon's grasp
arrogance
petulance
opulence
decadence
the fate you bring is your own
kneel and worship at my throne
where are your angels
where is your god
where are your values
where is your soul
you are in my hand
throw yourself
upon the rocks
feed yourself
with a raven's feast
crucify yourself
on your cross
raise your serpent
upon the staff
in the wilderness
in the wilderness
alone
and ravens
shall pick your bones
clean and bleached
in scorching sun
let there be
no remnant
from generation
to generation
they will remember
betrayer
unclean
unworthy
unforgiven
your insolence
a mark on your head
unto the gates of hell
all damnation
and subjugation
for all time and time and time that follows
an example strung up
a warning for the hopeful
for your tired
for your hungry
for no help will come
feed yourselves
PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it.
That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
47 years ago I saw an Irish Spring commercial explaining the green and white stripes in their soap. 47 hours later I had boosted a kitchen knife and was standing in the bathtub slicing up a bar of it saying "two deodorants" as each sliver fell to my feet.
7 years ago this LP happened. 7 minutes ago I started typing this.
Genius. I could see it then and I can see it now. I have everything these hipsters have put out. This is my favourite. Sweet William
